Twitter version 2.1.1 was last updated on Jun 01, 2011. Current requirements are to use Mac OS X 10.6 or later.
New features that were added to this version of software are you can view photos uploaded and to update Twitter Bug fixes.
Some customers think this version was a huge mistake and do not like it at all. Other were complaining about the new design.
This Twitter software for mac version fixed all the spaces bug that was present in 2.0.x, it also adds many required features like auto user and hashtag completion.
Other comments are that the title bar is too thick.

Now it appears most like the new look and design. Also a major complaint is that translate is gone now. Also it showed the day’s top tweets and now just news stories.
There was also a comment that with the new version it is more difficult to search for somebody. There was also an issue that you cannot see if someone is following you now.
